December 2005 - Production Begins

 

After two years of development, Ignite begins principal photography on the feature documentary "PROGRAMMING THE NATION?". The first interview with August Bullock, author of the Secret Sales Pitch, was shot on Sunday 12/18/05 here in Santa Cruz against a green screen back drop for future compositing. Over a dozen more interviews are scheduled throughout 2006.

 

 

September 2005 - Experimental Script Wins Honors

The original script for "PROGRAMMING THE NATION?", which inspired and shaped Ignite's current documentary, received notification that it had advanced to the quarter final round, (top 5%), in the 2005 Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting Competition - sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In doing so, the screenplay was one of only 300 entries that survived the first round of 5,879 scripts entered.

 

 

July 2005 - Film Trailer Now on Website

 

This month we developed a short 5 minute trailer for our feature documentary,
"PROGRAMMING THE NATION?".

June 2005 - Documentary Website Launches

Graphic Artist and Ignite intern Rob Rex at S.R.A. Productions has completed and launched the website for the upcoming feature documentary "PROGRAMMING THE NATION?". The site looks fantastic, is Flash based, and can be viewed at www.programmingthenation.com.

 

 

April 2005 - Lunch With Coppola

 

Ignite's co-founder, Jeff Warrick and friend/writer Tom Carlson won a silent auction at a kick off party for the upcoming SC Film Festival. Their prize was lunch with indie-filmmaker, Christopher Coppola, nephew of Francis Ford Coppola. The winning bid went to help support the 4th annual event which opens this May.
